The wonderful bird sanctuary located nearby Mysore is worth visiting on the way to Brindavan Gardens.
The natural sanctuary located on the banks of the Kaveri river spans 40 acres and is home to numerous bird species and crocodiles.
During the months of October and November, birds from all over flock to this sanctuary and choose it as their nesting place.
This sanctuary has boating facilities that allow us to watch birds and crocodiles from a very close distance.
In addition, the Karnataka government has developed a lovely garden in this location.
Ranganithittu bird sanctuary is a place where kids and bird watchers will truly find a paradise.
Other places of interest very close to this sanctuary are – Brindavan Gardens, Srirangapatnam and Nimishamba temple.
